Taekwondo

Shadow Moogi | Dragon Squad | Adult Taekwondo

We offer training in Global Traditional Martial Arts (GTMA) for children, youth and adults.  Our concept of "Personal Victory", where your progress is always measured against your past performance, never against that of anyone else.

Training in G-Shim GTMA offers many benefits, such as:

• Fitness - Taekwondo training exercises the full body in a way that few workouts can match.

• Self Confidence - Taekwondo training is a great self confidence booster.

• Self Defense - you will learn to be able to defend yourself from an attacker, but also to keep yourself from getting attacked in the first place.

• Parents of students in our other programs will find Adult Taekwondo a great way for the whole family to enjoy training together.

Shadow Moogi

The Moogi program was developed specifically for preschool age children ages 4 through 5. This program offers children a strong foundation in essential character qualities such as courtesy, respect, and discipline. In addition, the program is designed to improve children’s motor skills and enhance their ability to pay attention and follow directions. All classes are taught using the most safe, fun, and exciting instruction methods available for this age group. This program works in conjunction with the Dragon Squad program, thereby emphasizing the same important monthly themes and value system.

Dragon Squad
Our Dragon Squad Program is for children from ages 6 to 12. In addition to developing physical skills such as self-defense and improving general fitness, Dragon Squad also trains children in traditional life skills.

Just like in the Shadow Moogi, Dragon Squad  students are praised for outstanding performance in class, tournament competition, and for showing respect and honor at home and school, along with doing satisfactory work.

Our philosophy for the Dragon Squad program is “There are no bench-warmers”. We teach students that the only person they are competing with is themselves.

Weapons Class -

Leadership Class -

Leadership in martial arts goes far beyond mastering techniques — it's about shaping disciplined, empowered individuals who lead both on and off the mats. That's why we dedicate the final portion of every 7:15 Blue Belt & above class to Leadership. Each session is built around one of the GTMA Leadership Tenets, giving students a consistent framework for developing the mindset and character of a true Black Belt leader. Facilitated by two of our Instructors and often supported by our Council & Senate representatives — peers selected to represent LTMA within the GTMA community and help lead within our school — these sessions create a unique environment where leadership is both taught and modeled. Through focused discussion and real-world application, students grow in confidence, self-leadership, and the ability to positively influence those around them.

Instructor Programs -

Our Instructor Programs are the natural next step beyond the Leadership Program — where students take the skills and character they've developed and step into the highest leadership role in the martial arts: Instructor. There is a one time Instructor Fee, and you will receive one class credit for each that they are helping teach.

Jr. Instructors assist with beginner and intermediate classes at least once a week, mentor struggling students one-on-one, and lead peer groups during their own classes.

Adult Instructor Program requires a minimum of three years to achieve Certified Instructor status:

Level 1 — Trainee Instructor: One year assisting classes twice per week and attending a minimum of two GTMA seminars (GTECH or GSHIM). Awarded: Red Ribbon on uniform collar.

Level 2 — Certified Trainee Instructor: One year assisting and teaching during two classes per week, plus two GTMA seminars. Awarded: Red/Black Ribbon replacing the red ribbon.

Level 3 — Certified Instructor: One additional year teaching two classes per week and attending two GTMA seminars. Awarded: Black Ribbon replacing the red/black ribbon.

Adult Taekwondo

Taekwondo is not just for children! Our adult program offers training in  G-Shim GTMA Taekwondo for all ages 12 and up. Much like our programs for children, our adult classes are oriented around the concept of “Personal Victory”. Your progress is always measured against your past performance, never the performance of anyone else.

The Programs offered for the adult students in our school are the same as those offered to our Dragon Squad and depend on the level of training they wish to pursue.

Joining our Adult Taekwondo program allows you to attend  all our Classes for Free. It is like five programs for the price of one!
